Cigar Plant, Firecracker Plant

Cigar Plant, AKA Firecracker Plant, has tubular shaped, exotic looking flowers of red/orange with some purple, typical of other Cupheas, only the flowers are smaller. Best grown in well drained soil with medium moisture, but will tolerate a bit of drought. Pinch stems back if the plants become leggy. Where not hardy, plants can be potted up and brought indoors for the winter. Is often grown as an annual. Reseeds for us here in Zone 7.
