Abutilon megapotamicum 'Variegatum'

Trailing Abutilon is great for a hanging basket, looks graceful when grown in the ground, and can even be grown as a houseplant. This varieagated variety has green leaves splashed with yellow, and the flowers that dangle from the stems are a hard to miss red and yellow. Hummingbirds visit this often. In zone 8, baskets will need to be brought indoors for the winter, and plants in the ground will do best with some shelter. In cooler climates, bring the plants indoors to enjoy during the winter, or treat as an annual.
