This is a canna with smaller flowers, which are used more by the hummingbirds than the larger flowered cannas. Indian Shot is easy to grow in medium-moist soil in a sunny spot. Needs plenty of sun and some heat to initiation bloom. Once it starts blooming it continues until frost cuts it down. Where hardy you can leave them in the ground over the winter. Use a good amount of mulch over them during the winter in Zone 8. In zone 7 and below, treat them as an annual or dig the tubers up and overwinter them in a cold, but frost free spot.
